KFC JOB ****

I successfully app**** for a post that was advertised by KFC. I was later called for an interview and I confirmed. The interview was conducted at the store. After a few days I received an sms congratulating me that I am appointed.

The KFC manager also called me and told me to report to the store and to start working. I worked for two days without signing a contract.

My contract arrived the third day and to my surprise the contract was for a learnership. The manager was also shocked and told me she will contact HR and come back to me. She later explained that HR is telling her that "it is how they do currently ".

I did not understand, I was frustrated, did not want to lose my job, I signed that unclear contract. Later that day I wrote a message to my manager expressing how I feel about the sudden change. She told me she will let me speak to HR personnel the following day and told me she will respect whatever reason I will take.

The HR lady explained that even though the post I was appointed for was advertised as PERMANENT they had to put me on a Learnership position because the were 12 vacant Learnerships to be filled. She told me there is nothing she can do to change it, I should accept that because at the end of the day "there will be money in my bank account ".

She went on telling that I should understand that the KFC company can say this today and another thing the following day because it's running in a fast changing industry.

When I told the manager I am still not happy she told me they will readverise the post because they are shortstaffed. And that I should return their boots.

To me that was dismissal. I am still not happy. I decided to apply for another permanent position with another KFC store. I was again appointed.

After 2 days it was bad news again with the people from HR. They told the store manager to let me go because I "Absconded " from my previous job. I explained to the manager what happened and she told me she will talk with them. Unfortunately that same person from the HR department wanted m gone. I WAS FIRED AGAIN😪😪😪

To me it is like they manipulating the system. Pretending like they follow the hiring procedure from advertising positions to conducting interviews and then issuing contractsyo their favoured / GHOST candidates.

KFC IS A ******* AND EXPLOITES THE RIGHTS OF DESPERATE YOUNG PEOPLE LOOKING FOR JOBS. WITH THE HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN THE COUNTRY, THEY'RE KICKING A DOG WHILE IT'S DOWN.
