Injury Sustained on Premises
On the 6th Of January 2015, My wife and bought food from the KFC in Shelley Beach. at approximate 17:50 that evening as we were leaving, my wife stepped out of the store onto the tiles in front of the store, slipped and broke her ankle. Only after I managed to load my wife in to the car to rush her to hospital, did the branch in question put down a caution sign, Slippery floor. the Manager in the store called my wife, to get details and confirmed he will be submitting the claim to his insurance. as late as last week Friday, KFC customer relations send a mail stating the case has been resolved, which is not the case. We have not heard from KFC nor their insurer regarding any attempt for compensation. My Wife owns a marketing and events company which requires her to be mobile and on her feet most of the time. at present she has an 8 week enforced lay off, before she can try to put pressure on the foot. This has a direct impact on her ability to earn an income. Regards Gerhard Fourie
