Folding regular chip box to minimise chip contents

Kids and friends just got back from bowling and KFC at Carnival City. They showed me photo of chip container which had been folded and pushed upward at the bottom and tore on both sides so that fewer chips are required to fill said container. This was the case for all 4 containers of chips. Methinks there is *****ery going on here... KFC's problem is that kids tell ALL their pals and you lose not 4 but many more customers. (Apparently this has happened before)
