False Advertising and *********** Stores

KFC have been advertising a National campaign of being able to purchase 6 pieces of chicken for R65.00 at any KFC on Tuesday's. On Tuesday 12th March at 17:10, I walked into the KFC Greenstone and ordered my 6-piece deal, only to be informed by the very impolite and rude cashier that their store did not offer the deal. After trying to convince her that every store was offering the deal, she told me she couldn't assist and moved to attend to the woman standing behind me. I immediately called for the manager. Tebogo Mathule came from out of the back and inquired as to how he could assist me?? I explained the situation and his answer was; "sorry our system cannot offer that deal..." Regardless of my insistence and irritation of having driven all the way there, he was not prepared to help me. I demanded the owner's name and details, to which he refused to give them to me. He did however supply me with the area manager's name, but wouldn't give me his number (Strysun Naidoo). He duly departed... I then searched the web for a customer complaints number as the store couldn't assist me with that either. When I eventually got hold of someone, she listened to my dilemma and asked to speak to the manager, to which I handed him my phone (after having to call for him from the back again). He listened to the operator and basically told her that his system couldn't provide the deal. After a period of conversation on my phone, he agreed to try assist me. He asked if I could pay cash and he would just give me 6 pieces of chicken with no invoice.... I was astounded, but had come all the way there for the chicken and I duly obliged with the R65 and he provided me with a box of 6 pieces of chicken. In due course, I heard the next customer also asking for the deal, only to be told the same story I was told.... I wished her luck and departed...
