Disappointed in KFC

So recently I visited KFC in boksburg, I ordered a big meal and was allowed to spin a wheel for a lucky prize, I was so excited this is something that never happened before and especially at KFC so I spin the wheel and I won a surprise gift all the staff including myself and kids where so excited, they then said I will be contacted in the next 72 hours for my prize. I was so excited my kids were screaming with joy...so 72 hours passed nothing happened I called in the manger said the system is offline i said ok ,the next week I call customer service and still nothing,so yesterday I call again only to be told the promotion is for the 18th of November....and i wasted my time ,my question is how can Such a big Franchise make such a huge mistake you can't do that to people my kids were more expectant than me but instead you people played a silly joke on them....and mind you im a regular customer because my kids enjoy KFC but you people just broke their spirits.....false advertising should be brought to book.....
