Complaint: Raw Chicken and Poor Service – KFC Kasselsvlei Bellville South

Good morning,

I would like to raise a complaint regarding the poor service and quality of food I received at KFC Kasselsvlei in Bellville South on 10 July 2025, at approximately 18:00.

I purchased the following:

6-piece chicken with 2 mash & gravy and 1 coleslaw (R169.00)

1 snack pack

When I arrived, there was no cashier at the till, and I waited a long time before being assisted. Only after I complained did a staff member who was handing out orders come to the till to help me. I finally received my order at 18:45.

To my shock and disappointment, when I got home and served the food to my family, we discovered that the chicken was raw. It was not golden brown or crispy as expected—it was pale, undercooked, and the skin was wet. This is completely unacceptable and a serious health risk.

Unfortunately, I was so upset that I threw the food away immediately and did not take any photos as evidence.

I paid for a meal that was both unsafe and accompanied by terrible service. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
