Breaking Covid Laws at Pinehurst Branch

On the 14th January 2012, @15:15pm I ordered food at the Pinehurst Branch At the till there was a man in front of me (not ordering) but chatting to the till ladies. They ignored me and I had to wait until they were finished chatting socially with him. He didn’t wear a mask at all. When they told me to step forward and order I did not want to step into the area where he had been breathing and laughing without a mask (Covid 19 is an airborne virus) I asked him to please put his mask on and all the KFC ladies behind the till started laughing at me. He put a mask on over his chin with his mouth and nose still fully exposed. He continued to stand next to me while listening to music on earphones. The staff could see I was clearly agitated and nervous. They were unfriendly and unhelpful and the lady using the till had to ask for help as she did not know how to use it correctly. When I completed ordering there was nowhere for me to exit as he was blocking the exit without a mask and there were 2 more customers behind me, one also without a mask too. I had to slide under the railings to avoid them. I proceeded to go wait outside to minimize infection risk. The customers were now waiting at the front desk without masks on and when I had to collect my food I had squeeze past all of them and hold my breath.

If this is the way the front of house staff behave in front of customers and in the public spotlight, I highly doubt full pandemic protocols are followed in the back where the public cannot see and where the food is made and handled.

When I got home I complained to KFC Headquarters via their correct email channel. A few days later Busiswe Kubeka rep**** asking for details of the order from the slip and my contact details. After each time I rep**** to his/her email they would just send the same generic reply back asking for my details. I sent 15 emails to them with all my details including photos of the till slip. Today Busiswe closed the complaint without contacting me or addressing the complaint. This is disgusting service. KFC is operating *******ly at Pinehurst branch and their Head Office has been made aware.
