bad chicken

I got kfc the 16 september 2015.the chicken is off it smell bad and tastes bad and this is not the first time.after 16 days they call me.The person i talked to said i should take it back.why should i drive 40 kilometers to take it back. And tell me she also live far away and would have taken the chicken back.is kfc not supposed to check that the chicken is ok or not.
