24 Hour shop but closed at 2 am

So 2 am in the morning and we decide we want to buy a KFC burger since they are open 24 hours. Got at the drive-thru and no one in sight so we started hooting mean they have to be open. And we hoot and we hoot and we hoot, in the reflection of the glass you can see the staff move in the shop, but no one will even bother to come and see if we need anything, so I decided to go to the front of the shop and a big notice that state they are temporarily closed and alternatively we should use Germiston branch. I mean if you are closed, why is there staff 2 am in the shop? Then that mean they aren't closed at all? Cause what are they doing there if they are closed? And can't just one of them come to the window just to say sorry we are closed? Or are they scared we might have taken a photo of then? But its fine McDonalds was just fine. Didn't even take 3 minutes there and we had the better service of what an international company should give
