Avoid Key Trucks New Germany

Dear Automotive customers I will like to share my dissatisfaction with the above motor dealership and highlight the lies and condescending comments. Below will be 2 emails that I have which was sent through. Basically now it's my word against the dealership even after the trend of lies displayed by the dealership. Even Unite and customer care could not assist

Good day Sir/mam,

Please could you assist as I have an issue with the dealer that I recently purchased a vehicle from in which I was misled that certain items would be changed and was not.

Please read my first attachment which I sent to the dealer for understanding of what transpired. To date I did not get written response but a verbal one.

What has being done by the dealer since I have sent the mail:

1. Tyres have being changed

2. Alignment and balancing redone.

My issue that remains is that the breakpads has not being changed and Dudley Stops the manager at the dealer advised that the bank has already paid the dealer and he does not have to change it. I also advised him of the CPA act of being misled and that I will go to the ombudsmen to which he said to go ahead as they will deal with this issue at that point.

My next concern is that When the dealer sent me to Supaquick to do the alignment and balancing they told me 2 rims was buckeld but then the dealer takes it again all is I order.

I do not trust the work done by Supaquick which the dealer has an arrangement with.

Just look at the fourth attachment. This is the tyre pressure on all 4 tyres when the car was delivered for the final time. Supaquick can't even fill tyre pressure correctly.

On delivery of the car by the dealer they requested I sign the 3rd attachment which I did not do as I did not agree with point number 4.

The vehicle was not sold to me as discussed.

Please could you guide me on a way forward.

Kind regards

T Moodley

Dear all,

Purchasing a vehicle should bring joy and happiness to a person but for me the contrary to this point.

My nightmare started when I started looking for a new vehicle on the car websites and I came across a 2017 Opel Astra 1L Turbo Enjoy marked for 235k I made an offer online for 220k as this was my budget. I did not want to waste the dealers time nor mine and knew if i did not get a response i would know the offer was to low and to carry on my search.

The next day Mbongeni called and advised he can Do the deal at 225k and I told him that I only had 220k. He then mentioned he will speak to his Director and get back to me. Mbongeni called and advised that I must come in and see the car as he can now do the deal.

On the 24/05 my wife and I went to the dealership and after discussion with Mbongeni I would purchase the vehicle once the following has been done and he agreed to.

1. Price 220 500 incl licencing 2. 4 new tyres 3. Autovalet 4. Fix rim 5. New breakpads 6. Service

Directly after this I was taken to Harry fowle to assist with the finance has I would put down a deposit of 100k. I completed the paperwork and supp**** all requested documents for the finance the same day.

The next day 25/5 Mbongeni calls and says he has some bad news in that his Director no longer wants to do the deal at 220 500 but at 225k. On the line with Mbongeni I shared my dissatisfaction but having invested so much time I offered 222k which Mbongeni said he would speak to his Director and get back to me.

Not waiting around I googled some details and after a few calls ended up with Tony Da Silva. I explained my frustrations and Tony advised that he did Not approve the deal at 220 500 but would speak to Mbongeni as to why he offered me this deal.

Mbongeni called and advised that he can now do the deal at 222k which I apprehensively accepted. Arrangements were then made that I would come in the 26/5 to sign the contract which I did and transferred the deposit. The vehicle was to be delivered to me on the 28/5 at 15:00.

On the 28th at 16:50 Mbongeni calls and advises that he cannot deliver the car as the deposit did not clear. Ridiculous it took the entire day to advise of this.

The vehicle was delivered the following day 29/5. It was raining so I could not inspect the carbon this day. On the 30/5 i drove and inspected the car and noticed on 2 if the 4 tyres were changed. The steering wheel was not straight and there were vibrations on the clutch and gear lever and the tyres were noisy which can be from 2 different sets of tyre brand with different thread patterns. I immediately called Mbongeni whom advised to bring the car in on Saturday the 2/6 to resolve these issues as this would be the day my new license plates would be fitted.

On the morning of the 2/6 called Mbongeni to confirm the time I would be in and was advised that he was not working. Mbongeni should have told me in advance that he would not be in. Mbongeni then advised that i should speak to his boss Dudley whom Will assist once I'm there. Dudley then gave me the original natis and I had seen that the title holder had my name which was incorrect as it should have being the finance house. He acknowledged the error and advised it would be rectified. I could have easily taken it away but I am an ethical person can't say the same for the dealership.

Once the licence plates were fitted Dudley advised that I must take the car to Supaquick who will do the alignment to straighten the steering. I mentioned what about the tyres and he said I quote " there is nothing I can do as only 2 tyres needed to be replaced." I told him this was not what was agreed. Dudley further advised that the Astra was an import car and you could not get the michillin tyres in RSA for this Astra. I told Dudley this is the first i have ever heard of this. I knew he was talking bull and I mentioned I was going to lodge a complaint. I have owned many cars and currently own a new bmw which is an import and also has michillins and these tyres are widely available. The only reason the firestone/firehawk was fitted because it was cheaper than the Michallin and Supaquick only stocks this brand of tyres. There must be a special deal between the dealership and Supaquick if you catch my drift. I googled the tyres and the Michillins are available at tiger wheel and tyre.

When the 2 tyres were fitted balancing and alignment should have being done and then checked by the dealer but I was given an unroadworthy vehicle because the dealership did not follow proper quality controls and wanted to save cost to my detriment.

At Supaquick I was further advised that the 2 remaining tyres had high low spots and 2 rims were buckeld. This could cause the vibrations. There again how is this possible. This should have been picked up initially as tyres were changed and alignment done already. This was deliberatly not done correctly. Supaquick did alignment again on Saturday which was still done incorrectly as the steering is still not straight. These guys don't know what they are doing.

As per the consumer protection act I was misled and unfairly treated. What I was promised as not being delivered and don't even know if the breakpads where fitted.

I currently own a Bmw and when Bmw say they are doing something consider it done. They will always try to satisfy their clients needs and always exceeds expectations.

This is my last opel purchase which I'm sad to say.

I look forward to a positive outcome. If not come and fetch the car and cancel the deal.

If I need to I will hand over to my attorney as I will not allow a corporate to take advantage of me.

Thanks Mr T Moodley
