Beware Key Projects

I bought an expensive apartment off plan in The Streams in Newlands, Cape Town from Upton Properties. After 3 or 4 delayed handovers, Key Projects handed over the keys. The floors were scratched, the granite had holes in places it shouldn’t, some appliances did not work, and things which I paid the earth for in advance, were not delivered. ( the list is endless) The project manager was clueless. He simply referred me to other people who referred me back to him. When we complained about Smeg appliances not working, he simply told us to contact Smeg appliances, for a defective appliance that we did not purchase, and would not have bought in any case. The Key Project manager was like a dummy for a baby- it pacifies the baby , but provides no benefit. In fact, the Architect and the agent from whom we purchased the apartment were more helpful and informed. We will never purchase anything from these people. Developers and Contractors, be wary of Key Projects.
