Key Health not bothered with my health.......

When we joined the aid, we decided upon only the hospital plan, because mostly the member should pay the greater amount of times when visiting a doctor etc. Because of the small amount available on the savings plan.

Now July I got a gastroscopy and the doctor informed me that he would rather do a Nissen operation to improve the quality of my life, being still young.

When I tried to get pre-authorisation I already battled to get in touch with the consultants. I phoned numerous times, apparently they constantly have great call volumes, the last call I made and again had to wait without assistance, I left a message for a call back. Did, till today, receive that call back. Even my e-mail was unanswered till today.

Using the app, I was assisted only to be told that our plan does not cover any reflux surgeries. I was even told to go and check my documention and will see thatit is an exclusion on the plan. I went through every little document, guide and brochure.nowhere is that entioned.

Even when my daughter joined, I went through all her documents, guides and brochures. Nothing on her plan aswell and she joined the Equilibrium plan, which aparently also does not gover reflux surgeries.

Thus I came to the conclusion that the aid will do anything to not cover and pay for a procedure claiming that it is an exclusion of the plan.

Now it is expected of me to suffer for the rest of my life, because the aid hasn't got a care in the world. They want to charge large amounts of premiums and pay as less as possible for their clients's health.
