It should be noted that the use of a Designated Service Provider/KeyHealth Specialist is not enforced on KeyHealth members.

KeyHealth Medical Scheme is committed to providing the highest quality of service at the most cost-effective rate to its members. For this reason, the Scheme has partnered with Specialist providers to form a value-based Specialist network. This is an ongoing process, and the network is continuously increasing for a better member experience.
The partnership is in place to ensure that members do not pay out-of-pocket expenses for both in- or out-of-hospital Specialist services when using these Designated Service Providers (DSPs).
KeyHealth members can use any Specialist of their choice, however, by using a network Specialist members will not be charged more than the negotiated rate and will avoid co-payments. Better value for money.
We trust that using a network Specialist will provide peace of mind that payment will be made where benefits are available for Out-of-Hospital services. In-hospital services are subject to pre-authorisation, case management, and clinical protocols.
