Huge cost for no work
So last year my 90,000km service for my Chevy Sonic 2012 was a staggering R3,700 at Key Delta Pinetown. Friends and other agents called the fee ludicrous and advised that I take my vehicle elsewhere in future. For reference, the 75k service was R2,300 also at Key. Now just before this service, the same Key Delta broke my car key during an insurance mandated auto repair after a hit and run just a couple of weeks before the service. After kicking up a fuss, they pretended that they were so nice to give me a new key come service - but had simply factored this into the bill. Blamed the Rand for the cost when questioned.
So the 105k service was conducted elsewhere. The guy phones me up and says your brake discs and pads are completely worn away and that I should NOT have been driving the car. Turns out Key Delta did not even check this previously. He has doubts regarding previous services and sorted out every issue for half the bill Key Delta banged me with. Yes, I examined these issues personally. Nevertheless in my opinion I cannot urge people enough to avoid this place - huge cost, all talk, half done work, zero responsibility.
