Upgrade to First Class ****

I was hoping there was a minus rating for this airline but unfortunately have to pick between one and ten and one is even giving them a rating they absolutely do not deserve. In January we flew to Zanzibar economy class with Kenya Airlines. Before our flight we received an email with images of a truly amazing first class experience with beds etc. We paid an extra R10,000 to upgrade to this option as it looked like such a luxurious experience to treat ourselves to. When we arrived on the plane were were seated in what they refer to as "First Class" which was basically economy with slightly extra leg room and free cheap Champaign. When we reached Nairobi we approached their Buisness Class Lounge to complain about we were completely mislead and had paid for a first class experience. They told us they could not help. Since we only had an hour to wait for our next flight we asked if we could sit in their Business Class Lounge and we were told "NO".

For anyone who receives an email from Kenya Airways asking for a payment for a First Class experience DO NOT PAY IT IS A ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To say that Kenya Airways is the Pride of Africa is like saying the dung beetle is the Pride of the African Jungle.

Never again. Never never again!!
