Poor delayed flight contingency

Once again a delayed flight. This after I promised myself never to fly KQ again. The delay meant that I would miss my connecting flight and wait another 12 hours for a new connection. KQ offered to book me into a hotel, but the communication and waiting time to get there and back would in excess of 4 or 5 hours. This would not allow for any time to work as the missed connection already meant that I miss important meetings.

All the staff say is" "I am really sorry" it is not any of their mistake, but they need apologize.

There are no structures to deal with delayed flights (and I have not traveled with KQ when they were on time.
