Kenya Airways not willing to issue refund

We had booked a trip to Kenya over a month ago using Kenya airways as the airline. <br> Due to recent unfortunate events in Kenya and the Kenyan Department of Foreign Affairs advising against non-essential travel to parts of Kenya (including areas en route to our destination) we would prefer not to be travelling to Kenya at the moment.<br> We have been told that the tickets are non-refundable and if we choose to cancel will be liable for the entire costs of the tickets.<br> Very disappointed that Kenyan airways are not willing to accommodate refund requests under these unusual circumstances. It is clear that profits and not human lives are the priority for Kenyan Airways.<br> Will not be choosing Kenyan airways as my preferred airline for any travel going forward.
