Faulty Kenwood Prospero 5 in 1
Purchased a Kenwood prospero 5 in 1 in November 2021, as a Anniversary and Christmas gift for my wife of 40 years. Her old kenwood chef had its days and wasn't worth repairing. So when the kenwood 5 in 1 was discounted at Makro stores I jumped at the offer, only to be disappointed when we started using the stand mixer
My wife weekly mixes dough for baking, and we were shocked to see the mixer shaking violently. I unplugged it and checked that all the attachments were correctly fitted and tried again. Same problem. Packed up the appliance and returned to Makro.
A few weeks later Makro called to say that it has been fixed. Went to Makro and were told that Philtec, the service agents said the appliance is working. There job card states as follows "checked and tested unit and unit is working when switched on. Dough looks too stiff and quantity should be halved and used at speed 1"
I had taken a video of the violent movement and have given it Makro n Philtec.
I am not happy with the respond received thus far
Asked for a refund and this was refused as well. The unit is still with Makro Springfield branch
I am now at my wits end and don't know what to do with this machine. The Kenwood brand was synonymous with quality n reliability. I am very very disappointed
Please assist in resolving this matter urgently Thanking you in anticipation
