Worst VET !!

We took our little pup to the Kempton Animal Hospital Sunday the 20th of Sep . He had been trying to vomit and he just wasn’t the same . We had recently had a big mice issue and we had used a glue trap . We had disposed of the trap but our little puppy had dug through the bags and managed to get to the packet . We didn’t physically see him eat one . We just assumed he did . So we explained to Dr Herman that it’s possible he has ingested this mouse covered in the glue . Herman than felt a little and the just took him and gave him injections for Nausea . First of all he didn’t he say what he was going to do he just took him and went only after when he had given him the injections did he tell us . Already I was out off because of their lack of communication. So they do a levy surcharge so Sunday was double consultation fee which was R750 After everything he said we can go . My dogs condition worsened drastically and Tuesday afternoon we rushed him back to the Kempton Animal Hospital. He was admitted . While we were waiting to hear what now . They were so busy trying to attend to so many animals at a time . They were running around like headless chickens . They didn’t tell us anything they just gave us an invoice and asked for a deposit . We paid a deposit and left . Wednesday we tried phoning them to see how my puppy was doing . They would just say the vet will get back to me . NO VET EVER GOT BACK TO ME . Eventually after phoning about 5 times within 3hrs we got some feedback . Then when we asked will he make it past this Dr Thinus said “ Ya he looks fine but I’m not God so ja “ Wednesday we went to visit him . When we walked to the back to his cage his drip he was on wasn’t even working !! He had extreme diarrhea and they left him laying in it . The environment just standing there was so dark and dingy it was unpleasant. Can you imagine what those poor animals feel like . My pup was clearly neglected . We went straight to reception and said we would like to discharge him as we are transferring him to Craig View . The other VERY rude receptionist with the glasses and a bob asked the other receptionist what was happening. They were gossiping about my decision to move my dog to Craig view right in front of me , all in Afrikaans yes I’m English but I understood every word. They then said they waiting for the discharge papers . So we waited for about 10min . Herman than came out and asked if we done visiting already ? We said no sorry we discharging him and we waiting for the papers . He turned around and said “ what papers “ Those receptionist clearly don’t know what an Emergency is . They took another 20min to take the drip out and clean him . Eventually they brought him out . Then they were going to keep him until I paid up to date . To be honest I hadn’t plan any of this and I had already made two Payments to them . I said I will come and settle it now I need to get him to a vet . All they care about is MONEY and not the well being of your baby . They are the worst vets out there . Please don’t put the lives of your fur baby’s In Their hands .

If I hadn’t moved my dog to Craig View I can guarantee he wouldn’t have made it . They are so focused on getting money that they take on so many animals in that they cannot give each animal the attention they need .

Disgusted by Kempton Animal Hospital . I will find every single way possible to get my story of my experience out there . You should be closed down !!
