Kempies Lawnmowers - not recommended at all!

On 7th December 2018 I purchased three garden maintenance machines and related accessories from this company at 754C Voortrekker Road, Brakpan. I spent a total of R7035.00 and the manager/owner named Charmaine agreed to deliver the goods on 8th December 2018 which, although later than originally agreed upon, did take place. All the machines were started in the shop to ensure that they were working. All the motors worked. Today I wanted to cut my grass for the first time with the Wolf electric lawnmower only to find that the machine cannot be used as it has a broken wheel. I tried to call Charmaine on WhatsApp immediately but received no reply (I do appreciate that the shop can be busy particularly in the peak of summer). I then sent a WhatsApp message to Charmaine at 10h08 stating that I wanted the machine to be collected and to be given en a refund. The message was read at 10h25 but not responded to. I sent another message at 14h33 requesting a response and a refund. Charmaine then called at 14h37 to tell me that as the machines had been tested prior to delivery there was nothing wrong with the lawnmower when I received it and that this is therefore 'not a refund situation'. All apparently that Charmaine was prepared to do would be to send the machine to the supplier for testing and based on the results of said testing......That was when I said I am taking this matter to Hellopeter and put the phone down! What an unprofessional business with which I will ever again do any transactions. Ironically I was planning to purchase a generator and a petrol lawnmower in January 2019 - the generators were only expected in stock in the new year and the petrol lawnmower that I wanted is an item that has to be ordered on request. So very sorry but I will find both products elsewhere where my cash is respected.
