It has been indeed an interesting experience to date of how the law is practiced and app****. The law has been bent the law ever so slightly by 2 of their attorneys so that they don't get into trouble with the legal association of South Africa.

Court ordered discovery in Dec 2018 was handled in a way which I thought would be in the confine of the law as it was court ordered yet he was allowed to only hand in documents under oath that he wanted to.. We are married in community of property so this would have made a settlement easier. They clearly had other plans and the excuse used by one of the attorneys was that he spent some of the money when questioned about certain bank account balances..

Not all property or financial wealth has been submitted although court ordered which seems to be okay in the eyes of kemp nabal attorneys. My husband works abroad yet not all he earns and paid into his sa bank account was declared leaving a very unsettling feeling as to how the law only is app**** for those who can afford to pay attorneys huge amount money. Potentially he has purchased property or other assets which never gets declared yet they have already assisted in drawing up a pre nip for him and his new partner. I approached the directors of the company pleading my case as to how the divorce was handled naively thinking that they would step in and resolve the matter. Only to get an email letter back stating that the attorney is more than capable of handling the matter. Being unrepresented has forced me to send them a proposed settlement that I would be happy with to discuss with my husband yet the only email I got back was that they have not been able to discuss it with him yet he has full access to Internet where he works abroad. They do not answer emails with regards to him breaking every court order. Threatening little comments like.. I don't have grounds to go for full custody yet my husband works abroad for 9 months of the year. No attempt is ever made to meet although I have asked both attorneys but I now see it what it is.... The longer the drag the divorce out the more money they make off my husband and I am left stuck in a marriage I don't want to be in.

One of the worst examples how ur constitional rights means nothing in the aspect of the law practiced by law firms in SA.
