Plates don't fit into dishwasher

Don't ever buy a kelvinator dishwasher!!! we saved up for one for such a long time. When we finally bought one in august 2014 we had to wait a week before we could install it because we had to get the water supply and outlet ready. By the time we first used the machine it was already out of the 7 day exchange period. The top shelf is set very low, leaving too little space for the plates on the bottom shelf!! I have 3 different types of plates and not one of them fit into the machine!!! What a waste of money!!! Plates are all standard size!
