Renault/Kelston Makhanda won’t give back my R50 000 deposit
I bought a brand new Kiger from Renault Makhanda/Grahamstown and made an R61500 deposit. R11500 would go towards the value-added products and R50 000 towards the R340 000 car value. 2 days after purchase, there was an ABS/brake light warning; needless to say, I took back the car and took a T-cross. The dealer principal, Vernon Tait, told me that there's nothing wrong with the vehicle and that they consider it a trade it so they will give me R310k for the Kiger and R11500 back for the value-added services. Then I asked about the R50k deposit and I am given the run-around.

12 Jun 2023, 20:39I agreed to the amount given for the car but the company still owes me money, ask Mr Tait to give you a full breakdown of costs. Or you do a review of his calculations, that seemingly make sense to him but they do not!
