Horrible service

I was contacted telephonically multiple times by Sinazo Plaatjies a booking admin clerk on Monday August 5th to remind me of my service booking the next day. The last call was to inform me that service parts had been delayed and would take 4 days to arrive and my appointment was shifted to the 9th, a Friday. I didn’t question it being National Women’s Day on the 9th assuming you would not take appointments if the dealership/service centre was in fact closed and confirmed the 07:30-09:00 time again.

On Friday, I got there promptly at 07:30 and noted many cars in parking bays with a few gates open but no one in the front reception area. I decided on walking around the back as one gate was standing wide open and expected to find someone but again the place was deserted. Someone must have called Atlas because a vehicle was standing in front of the building with an armed response person looking around outside. If they saw me walking back to my vehicle, they didn’t say anything. I proceeded to sit and wait on the parking lot for 45 minutes like an idiot expecting that perhaps the hours had changed due to it being a public holiday. A young man drove into the parking lot and kindly informed me that Kelston was closed for stock-taking and no one would be available. He also added that “some of the personnel had realised the mistake with it being a public holiday and informed the customers”.

There were multiple opportunities throughout the week to contact me once the error was discovered or was the time not taken to change the original booking to the new incorrect one whether electronically or manually.

I will be bringing my vehicle back on Monday the 12th for the service to be completed in full regardless of whether I have a booking or not. And would like to speak to the service department manager or supervisor.

This booking was originally made on May 21st to avoid any delays and has now resulted in a complete and utter waste of my time as other commitments needed to be shifted around to accommodate a company and not the paying customer.
