Dishonest Kelston Cherry Port Elizabeth- selling under false pretence

I bought a Hyundai Grand i10 in March 2023 at Kelston Cherry Port Elizabeth. Upon the purchase I was told that vehicle is still under warranty of 2 years and they sent me the documentation of the warranty.

I recently had a breakdown (Dec 2023)and took the car back to Kelston and it was discovered that the issue was with the engine/in the engine itself which is covered in the warranty.

They advised that they will be compiling a report for the warranty. Upon numerous attempts for feedback as the car was with them since then. They are telling me that the vehicle was 9 months /over 30 000kms overdue for service

I was never advised of the above when I purchased the vehicle and the warranty documentation stipulates that the 2 year warranty was effective in March 2023.

I am very disappointed and dissatisfied by the way they conduct business. I was sold a car under false pretence that the car was still under the warranty even though they knew it hasn’t been serviced by the previous owner and the warranty was no longer effective.

Now I am told the vehicle will not be covered under warranty as if I was the one who was at fault
