I had rental deposit

I had paid rental deposit to kellaprince real estate agent on the 28th November.I even sent the agent an email.She then said I must sent my id and payslip.Yesterday I found out the place was given to sum1 who payed their deposit on 12December.They are saying I did not reference my payment .Now I am homeless.The lady was so rude to me.I also payed the monthly rent on the 27th december.
