Been **********

Bought my ford bantam 1.3 xl 2011 new. Moved town's and had trouble with car misfiring at 30000 km. Took it to Kelfords and being under warranty they replaced the 3rd cylinder plug. Three days later, misfired again. This time they said that the engine had to be replaced which they did being under warranty. 15000 km later now on 45000 km in total the same thing happens again but now on the second cylinder. They tell me that again the engine needs to be replaced again. Then the warranty had expired. Now it was going to cost me R17000 for replacement. This I found totally unacceptable as why did they not diagnose the real problem in the first instance. Now to date I have to replace the second cylinder plug every couple of weeks or so. The milage now 70000. All this on a new car that has been looked after by me. HELP. Fords other dealers have said that they are shocked by my ongoing ordeal as the problem should have been sorted out in the first place. I now do not know what to do and being a pensioner, money is tight.

HI Jeff, we sorry you feel this way.  When repairing or replacing a part sometimes involves trial and error.  We have our customers best interests at heart and try save costs before just replacing unnecessarily.   We are a Ford Franchise and don't dictate price of parts supp**** to us by the manufacturer.  We happy try help with internal costs to save you some money, but you will need to contact us to do so. *** and speak to Tristan Kelly the owner
