<p>I just want to report a company called KC Transcribers who exploit there workers paying them a measely R2.50 an audio minute, one minute transcribed audio can take up to 6 minutes. I have worked for them for 5 months and due to an untimely death and Internet connection problems, after giving them communication of this, they have terminated my services. The going rate is no less than R4.50 a minute.</p> <p>They promised me a permanent job many times via email which would result in a much better salary per month. After enquiring several times about this, they decided to change there policy and renege on there deal with me. I have back and forth emails with them confirming me becoming permanent. Naturally i pushed and worked hard to become permanent to secure a better income, only to be told sorry they don't offer permanent staff, but yet expected to me perform as and when required. I was then on a freelance basis as and when i was available. Due to an untimely death in family and internet problems i could not deliver the audio they sent me, which i gave them due reason not for complying. Now they have terminated my services and i feel there behaviour is misleading and unfair. They go by the name of KC Transcribers there mobile numbers are kerry ********** . And Devlyn ********** 4672. I feel they are unfairly treating and exploiting people, no where in South Africa do Transcription companies offer R2.50 a minute. I have contacted several transcription companies and they said this is absolutely not acceptable to exploit people for that kind of money. I want them to stop deceiving the general public and stop there practise immediately.</p>
