NO AFTER SALES/SERVICE SERVICE
Took my 2008 Nissan X-trail for normal Engine Service.<br> dropped my car for overnight stay the Thursday evening - with NO FAULTS - just needed 210000km service as it was on 208****m.<br> They did the service-but also picked up my brake pads(front & rear needs replacing)and control arms(which they wanted to charge me R3300 for brakes and R4500 for the control arms)-but i said no,i wud do it somewhere else-where i could have it done cheaper as the Ferodo Brake pads would cost me R1300 - so why would i wanna pay R2k labour).<br> At 16:15 I fetched my car-as they close at 16:30...on my way home,the car stalls...seemed as though the brakes was binding-then i drove on-then it wud'nt change from 1st gear (automatic)i phoned Zaynab at KC Auto-but she said that they are closing-and only when i insisted that i am stuck-she said she wud send some1.when i phoned their workshop a few mins later,they had closed-and no1 came to help me.My hubby(who is in a wheelchair) came,test drove the car and the management light went on-so he got home,did diagnostic check and the error said SPEED SENSOR FAULTY\.we informed them this morning & their response "we only services your car - we did not touch management sys\"""""

I am not surprised at your attempt to undermine the integrity and workmanship that KC Auto is renowned for especially after the many slanderous emails which we received from you on Monday 16 November.
For the record, the FACTS are as follows:
1. Costs:
The labour which you were quoted was:
> Replace Front and Rear Brake Pads, clean F&R Calipers & Re-lube slides - 2hrs - R700 and R80 for Brake Cleaner.
> Fit L&R Control Arms - 3hrs R1050 - The increased labour time/ cost to replace the LHS Control Arm is due to fact that your vehicle is fitted with an Automatic Transmission and thus requires the Suspension to be lowered/ shifted out of the way, LHS Wheel Hub and LHS drive shafts shifted aside in order to replace the LHS Control arm.
2. After-hour service:
Our service advisor, Zaynab did in fact send a technician to your home after hours as instructed by you on that Friday afternoon. On arrival our Technician found that Mr. Essop had already been busy in the engine bay, unplugging and checking connections as well as performing unknown diagnostic scans to t
