Shoddy portion KAUAI
I had a very disappointing experience at the Eden on the Bay KAUAI branch on 7 January during lunchtime. We regularly order the Princess Wrap from this branch, as well as from the Table Bay Virgin Active location, and are fami**** with the standard portion size.
On this occasion, the wraps were noticeably half the usual size, and the avocado portion was extremely inadequate. Considering the price of the item, one would reasonably expect a generous and consistent portion. This experience was unacceptable and fell well below expectations.
I have since had a petty response from Nadia - "Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us regarding the portion size of your Princess wrap. We do take portion control seriously and strive to maintain consistency in all our menu items. Each of our items are prepared according to a specific recipe and portion size guideline to ensure that every customer receives the same great taste and value. We appreciate your feedback and would like to assure you that we will look into this matter further. If you experience any discrepancies in the future, please don't hesitate to bring it to the attention of our staff or management. We will do our best to rectify the issue promptly. Thank you for your continued"
Unacceptable - it does not adequately address the issue raised in my complaint. While I appreciate that Kauai has portion guidelines and recipes in place, the product received was clearly not in line with what is normally served, nor with what customers reasonably expect for the price paid. This was not a minor discrepancy but a significant reduction in size and filling, particularly the avocado portion, as evidenced in the photo provided.
As a regular customer who orders this item weekly from multiple branches, I am very fami**** with the standard portion. Being told that portion control is taken seriously, without acknowledging the obvious inconsistency or offering a meaningful resolution, is disappointing.
A more considered response that acknowledges the shortfall in this instance and outlines how this will be addressed. Customer feedback should result in accountability and improvement, not a generic reply.
