Kauai Athlone Virgin Active

I Recently joined Athlone Virgin Active. I thought that after a morning session, I could have a sandwich and capuccino. I was very disappointed at the Kauai at this gym. The coffee machine was not working(it looked like a very old machine), there was no bean grinder, it had a very limited menu and the place looked very dingy. I complained to the barrister, who told me I was not the first one to complain. To make a long story short....I spoke to the manager who said he would take it up with Kauai. I also contacted the regional manager for Kauai, who's name was Dean. Dean said that there was nothing much he could do about it and that I should do whatever I felt necessary to get a result. This was very disappointing as he is the regional manager for Kauai.I have visited Constantia, Claremont, Greenpoint Virgin Active clubs over the years, to mention but a few and their eating facilities are so much better...better menu, better facility, better equipment. Much better. Why is this...? Is it because this is Athlone? I am sorely disappointed. I hope other patrons would voice there opinions and disapproval at Virgin Active for allowing Kauai to drop their standard at this gym. It speaks volumes. I would not want to eat a chicken mayonnaise sandwich at this place for fear of falling ill. It appears that The regional manager is helpless....so who does one turn to? Very disappointed...come on patrons ...voice your opinion and disapproval....why must we settle for this.
