Dishonest staff at Gateway Food Court Kauai

I have had a very bad service experience today. I ordered a peanut butter bomb and paid cash. The cashier approached me and told me after accepting my order that there is no peanut butter. He asked if i would accept almond butter instead as it would be similar enough. I refused and told him cancel my order I'm not doing any swaps because thats not acceptable.

He then stated after running to the kitchen and came back claiming that there is peanut butter reserved for uber eats orders... I told him to either refund me and cancel the order, or to make my order with no substitution. He said the order can be made half with peanut butter and half with almond butter and refused. I told him again no substitutes just make my order or refund me.

My order comes to me and i enquired and the person who served me said yes there is almond in there. Which is not an ingredient for that item which means i was **** to and handed a pushed out order with the wrong ingredients and i cannot stand that treatment. I was very angry, i just left with the item. I intended to share this was my mother and there was no peanut butter in that there and i took one sip to try it and i dumped the rest.

I made it clear to the staff - no substitutions, this is not acceptable and i would rather go back empty handed than have the wrong thing. There was no peanut butter even used so that was the whole ingredient not even used.

I will never support that branch again after the disrespect i experienced from the staff. I cant see myself even ordering from any branches at all, not even at my gym.

Honestly I can't understand if this is a management issue, the rest of the staff, if this is franchise policy to rob the customer. I truly cant understand the need to be dishonest.
