Slow service and rude staff.

On 11 March 2020 my friends and I went to this restaurant for cake & tea. On arrival we were rudely greeted by the waiter, basically making us feel that a table for 5 is too much of a hassle. They placed us on a big table for 10 saying that the rest of the smaller tables are Reserved. After asking multiple times where our cake & drinks was (with it not being prepared or made but just taken out of the fridge) it came, more or less 40minutes later. We then were told we need to move cause they have a big table coming in. So after moving to a smaller table, we had to wait for another chair. While seated, the staff made Us constantly feel rushed, as there is a waiting list. We ordered a slice of cake, that is so small but had to pay R45 for such a mini slice.

Finally after waiting for our final drink we were about to stand up when the manager said “Are you leaving now cause then I can put other people on that table.” We felt VERY rushed and rudely treated. While paying the manager was SO confused and disorganized and took us more or less 20minutes to settle the payment as he continually interrupted us while we tried to explain what we had.

He then asked, “So how much is tip” after the whole experience.

I am very disappointed in the slow service, disorganized staff and the lack of respect they have for us as customers.

We will sadly not return again.
