Kasteelkop Guest Farm
On Tuesday, the 10th of February 2026, I made a reservation and the payment of R640 to LekkeSlaap for one night, for two people at Kasteelkop Guest Farm Campsite, close to Frankfort in the Free State Province. I admit that I did not read the available facilities because I "googled" guest house and found this place with an acceptable price tag. Only after the payment was made, I realised that it is a camping facility, where you have to take your own camping equipment. Now since I am not a camper and do not have camping equipment, I immediately contacted the agent at LekkeSlaap and explained that I have made a mistake and would like to cancel the reservation. The agent told me that she will contact the hostess of the facility and find out if they will be able to refund the money. Keep in mind the reservation was set for a date at the end of March 2026. I received an email stating that according to the hostess of Kasteelkop Guest Farm Campsite they will uphold the cancelation policy and only refund 50% of the money paid. So to the hostess of Kasteelkop Guest Farm Campsite, if you need the R320 so desperately after an honest mistake, keep it.
