I took my daughter to a private doctor and she was referred to karl bremer hospital the doctor wrote a referral letter even sent a WhatsApp message to the doctor at karl bremer to inform her that my daughter is on her way and what her condition is I've arrived at the hospital exactly 15h00 the receptionist was very quick and efficient after opening the file I went to the emergency unit of children when I arrived there the sister on duty already had a attitude and the doctor said no my child looks fine I must wait outside that emergency unit was empty I was told by the Sr to go wait outside she will call me in for observations I sat about an hour with my 5 year old before she was called for observations by this time her heart rate was very high and she has a low blood sugar I was still told to wait outside after these abnormal vitals I waited for 15 hours to be seen by a doctor the doctors were walking up and down chatting with each other drinking coffee on their phones while my poor child were lying outside in the waiting area on a small hard chair with no blanket nothing eventually I was called in at 6h00 the next morning the doctor examined my 5 year old who was so severely dehydrated by the time didn't eat for 4 days didn't urinate for 2 days and a low blood sugar and decide my daughter must be on a drip they tried to insert a drip 4 time my child was screaming of pain and she was just told do not scream she is only 5 years old eventually we got a bed the drip was up I waited another 30 minutes for the nurse to come and administer fluids as prescribed by the doctor my baby was lying on that bed without a pillow without a blanket I had to take off my jacket to cover het because it is so freaking cold in the unit but the Sr was walking up en down on her phone making personal phone call without any care in the world I sat there for about 6hours and the Sr on duty was making personal phone calls on the whole time from the hospital phone and the phone wad on speaker unfortunately I couldn't get a name because none of the staff members had name tags on mind you I myself am a nurse in the private sector and in my nursing career have a seen such bad patient treatment from the doctors to the nursing staff the Sr was the worst she was very unproductive,********* had no empathy for her patients ny daughters drip went off she didn't get up from where she was sitting to silent that drip pump she continued with her personal phone call this was the worst that I've ever seen in nursing they didn't care that I am also a nurse I didn't expect any special treatment but I expected them to be more professional and productive but all they do is walking up and down taking tea for 3 hours and on the phone sitting in front of computers that is why patients are dying out there daily the one doctor said people must stop acting if karl bremer is a day hospital you will wait even for 24hours he was so very unprofessional all of them one of the sisters cam at 5h30 to offer another child who was also lying in the waiting area outside a mattress mind you there were several children but she only offered the one child Thank God I am a nurse that goes out of her way for her patient my heart broke for each and every patient in that hospital never ever will I return back to karl bremer hospital
