Kapensis....a cut above the rest

About a week ago at about 19:30, I decided to take my family out (sleep out) for the evening. I looked up Kapensis, situated in Hangklip on R44 on the outskirts of Pringle Bay, as I had previously overnighted there in November last year. I decided to call them directly. The telephone phone was answered by a lady called Katharina, who I later discovered was the owner. Nothing was a problem for her. She was very "accommodating", excuse the pun. She was very involved in the running of the business, from bookings to the cooking and preparation of meals. In fact she was busy cooking for her guests when I called. In spite of that she listened to me and assisted me with the booking. She even called me back when the call was dropped. She also provided me with the best room at the best rate and it included breakfast for a very fair price that was cheaper than booking online. She informed me that she had 2 dogs on the premises, but promised that they would not bother us in any way..and they did not. With regard to payment/deposit, she simply said just come through. We arrived very late ...about 21:45. However, she welcomed us warmly, ensured that we settled in quickly. I mentioned that I was hungry and she offered me lamb stew, which she had prepared earlier for another guest, but I declined as I considered it way too heavy at 10pm. The establishment was spotless, our room perfect in size and comfort. Breakfast the next morning was more that enough and tasty at the same time, with good options available. The highlight of breakfast was the pancakes with cream that was also on the menu. All in all a beautiful place, perfect location and amazing service. Try it out.#greatbusiness
