Very Disappointed – Hired a "Professional" Through This Platform and Was ****med

I used this platform in good faith, assuming I would be connected with reliable and vetted professionals. After receiving a quote from one of the listed "professionals," I decided to go ahead with the job. Everything seemed legitimate at first — I was asked for an 80% deposit, which is fairly standard, and the individual came out to do a small portion of the work.

Shortly afterward, I was asked to pay the remaining balance to cover the rest of the materials. At the time, this request seemed reasonable. This all occurred around November/December.

Since then, the so-called professional has made endless excuses, mostly blaming lack of stock. Now, they’ve completely disappeared. They are no longer responding to any form of contact, and all calls go straight to voicemail.

What’s most concerning is that this platform appears to be sharing users' personal information with people who are clearly not professionals. I have no issue with my information being shared for legitimate business purposes, but I do take issue with it being handed to unverified, *****ulent individuals.

I feel completely let down and urge others to not use this site. Proper vetting and accountability are absolutely essential — and unfortunately there is no such process here.
