You gave me a "pro" contact to restein my oak cabinet.

The person who contacted me called himself Keith.

After speaking to him on whatsapp we agreed on a price and he came to my home on the 11 March 2021. I taped the conversation telling him I need a proper job. He arrived with 2 other men. One was young the other old. The old one was the one that said he would do the job.

On 11 March 2021 he arrived here with a tin of stein. He took the cabinet outside to sand it down. When I checked on him the cabinet was already painted, it was too light. I told him that colour was not what I agreed on. He then went to buy some other stein. He resanded the cabinet and painted it with the dark stein. At the end of the day the cabinet was still wet, the stein was painted but the top and sides were marked with finger marks. The top was rough. He said he would have to leave the cabinet to dry for 3 days. I agreed. He wanted me to pay him for the work and told me he would return to sand the top and give it another paint. I paid him for the materials and the job. R1443.00.

When he left I whatsapped him and told him he never did the cupboard doors inside and that was a part of the job.

I said a pro would never have left the cupboard doors like that. Anyhow I agreed that he should come back in Monday to finish the work.

This morning he called me from a different number and told me he would be here at 11.30 a m. He never arrived.when I messaged him he said due to load shedding he is late????? He arrived at my house at 15.15 p.m. asking me for money for paint. I refused as he had **** to me. He said he had no money, I told him I paid him. I said he must buy the paint and I will pay him afterwards. He said there is no money.

I am disguisted with this job he has messed my cabinet up and I will now have to pay more money to get it fixed.

He told me he was "training" the two people. His name was not Keith, Keith was the guy that contacted me.

Very bad service, these people are not pros. Be very careful of engaging these people for work.
