Beware of Kambrook products

After owning our Kambrook kettle for a few months the lid broke off from its hinges which was an annoyance but since we were not in the habit of returning things we decided to live with it. Approximately a year later after boiling some water as usual and dislodging it from its base(cordless) the handle broke off and the kettle partially disintegrated leaving a full kettle of boiling water on the table and floor. Our baby just started crawling at the time and I thank God noone was injured. We have a variety of Kambrook products and this experience has resulted in us losing confidence in not only the quality but also the safety aspect of using their products.

I have searched online for a consumer helpline to no avail. I have however sent an email with an official complaint to Kambrook's head office including exactly what had transpired with images. They promised to respond within 48 hours. Approximately two weeks have passed so I decided to send a follow-up email in January and received the same auto reply with no response to date.

Please be aware of purchasing their products as there is absolutely no after sales support.
