Kaleb Loevendie - stay away from this person !!!

In February 2021, I paid Kaleb Loevendie, the owner of “View Point Productions South Africa” situated in Durban, KZN, a 50% deposit to film a celebration of life event and produce a short video of this.

He took the money, arrived on time and filmed the event, and then advised me that the video would be finished in a couple of weeks which meant the end of March 2021.

The agreement was that final payment had to be made once the video was finished. It’s now halfway through September 2021, and I am still awaiting the complete video. Paying the remaining 50% is not an issue - I even offered to pay extra in the event that I wanted more changes to the video than what he felt was fair. I also offered to pay the full balance and just receive the raw footage of the event and then pay somebody else to complete the video.

After ignoring my requests for updates for most of this year I decided to comment on his business FaceBook page in July regarding his non performance. This got his attention and he immediately WhatsApp’d me and threatened to permanently delete all the video footage if I didn’t remove my comment.

So I agreed to remove the comment, which I did. And he agreed to finish the video which he hasn’t.

What makes things even worse is that this was a video of an event celebrating my brothers life (he passed in January 2021). I find what Kaleb has done truly & utterly despicable.

I felt it necessary to share my horrible experience with this person in the hope that nobody else will have to go through this. Even at the risk of Kaleb being vindictive enough to delete that special footage.. But maybe he chooses to be right and honourable and complete what he promised to do.
