Key logger spyware on new flash drive bought

I purchased a 128gb Pqi flash drive from Kalahari for my friends birthday.

The flash drive wa not removed from it's packaging and wrapped. Having an extremely exited moment opening the gift, my frien decided to try the flash drive.

My friend which is a Group CIO for a JSE lists company, discovered a key logger virus on the flash drive!!! ARTEMIS!***A7B61 Trojan. Exe file - NIS2***.

This was the most embarrassing moment of my life!! I have send an email to support at Kalahari, with no feedback. Clearly devices sold on Kalahari can not be trusted!!
