Kalahari sells Damaged goods , shocking service

I bought my son a remote controlled motor vehicle from the website and when it was delivered we immediately set about installing the battery and it did not work. The engine revved but the wheels did not move. i then logged this as a returndamaged item on the Kalahari website, return id : ***.. The delivery co has now collected the device but the process to get refunded on my credit card is so tedious and unfair to the customer who buys in good faith that we we will get value from online shopping and a time save .I am now told that only once the item gets to the warehouse in Cape Town it will be assessed and thereafter refunds take 14 working days to be refunded. So will Kalahari be refunding the interest i pay on my credit card for a debited purchase of a damaged good i no longer have. The call centre agent say No.This is disgusting and is not the first time it has happened. I purchased 2 mobile phones from Kalahari a year ago and they were both also sold and received as damaged and I went through this tedious returns process. I am advising everyone i know to stop buying from Kalahari as this is annoying.
