MouldyKalahari beef biltong

I have bought plenty of Kalahari biltong and meat sticks in the past and had no problems with their product.

But, last week I bought moist beef biltong once again at Checkers in Century City. Upon unpacking I niticed little bits of white in the packs, but did not pay much attention to it and then proceeded to pack it away.

Taking out a pack and opening it, I could see partially white mouldy covered peices of biltong. No unpleasant odour or anything, just a couple of specs here and there. I discarded the pieces and my four legged friend eagerly enjoyed the welcome snack.

Then about two days later I opened another pack and to my disgust I found that there was a lot of white mould in one of the packs. Traceability code 15320 and Best Before 10 December 2020.

I then removed it and looked it over and was really disgusted in this product. I offered it to my four legged friend merely to see what her reaction would be (never would I give her something I am not willing to eat myself) and she sniffed, looked at me in disgust and walked away.

That to me say's a lot.

I will not be supporting their brand from now on due to paying honest money for an inferior product that I ended up discarding in the trash does not sit well with me.

On their packaging it has a customer care line but no email adress where I could correspond with them and state my case.
