Kalafong Hospital: the worst of the worst **** holes when it comes to health care facilities

My wife had twins on the 12th of February 2021, but she was admitted on the 5th for a rupture in one of the bags, but this is not where the problem lays. since she gave birth(by c-section), she was moved from ward to ward, each time having to walk further to the ICU where the twins were kept. i'm still fine with that. but the treatment she received after she had to start feeding the babies is completely unacceptable. With our first child she couldn't breastfeed due to the lack of milk produced. Now she is able to, but at the start she had extreme difficulty to extract the milk by hand,and the staff kept fighting with her for being unable to extract enough milk for the babies. She inquired if she could make use of a breast pump for the extraction, and she was flat out denied, stating that their outdated barbaric rules says she has to do it by hand. Now i'm not a woman and i can not imagine the emotional roller coaster women go through with child births, but i'm also not an idiot, and by doing some research myself, most doctors recommend the use of a breast pump for milk extraction. something that these "well versed" nurses are supposed to know, or they just don't give a damn. after consulting one of the shift doctors, who in turn had a word with the nurses, she was allowed to make use of a breast pump. yippee right........no, she can use one, but they will not give her one to use, she has to buy her own if she wants one. which i can probably see the hygienic reasoning behind it. OK so at my expense bought her one. as well as that, we had to supply all the bedding my wife required for her prolonged stay. I have to bring her every other water bottles filled with water, as the tap water there is not fit for human consumption, who in the hell drinks hot water in a place where there is poor ventilation, no proper air conditioning? the get food they get there, that i would not even feed to an animal, so i guess patients there are considered less than animals. when and where it comes to the children, information regarding the children are not properly conveyed to the mothers. when inquiring information they get told to speak to the doctor, but they are not allowed to really leave their wards to speak or see the doctors. i feel this place is a death trap. go in healthy, come out in a coffin. and i also believe the nursing staff in the maternity wards are the biggest ******s, because its only the white women that gets treated like ****. wake the **** up, not every white person can afford medical aid. and get properly trained staff, these lucky packet staff you employ will come back to bite you in the ass.
