Kalafong hospital

I have worst experience in my life with the personel of Kalafong. My daughter was admitted on Monday 29 January 2024 to induce labour. Today is Wednesday 31 January and she only gave birth by c section. They induced her late on Monday. The fitted a ballon to help with labour but it came out on Tuesday morning. Tuesday evening the put it back stating that the doctor put it in wrongly on Monday. She was in severe pain as from Monday with no pain killers. This morning they decided to do a c section. She phoned and asked us to come to hospital. before she was taken to Teather. On arrival security at the Labour ward was full of it. We were not allowed to go to my daughter. I saw a lady taking her personal stuff to a lock room and I inquired from her if we could see my daughter. She took us to the ward and left us with the sister. The sister was rude stating that it is not visiting hours and Security is suppose to accompany us. She sent us to another sister who allowed us to see our daughter but then Security came and said only 2 minutes and then we must be out very rudely. So I went to complain about the attitude of the personel. We were seen by the lady that deal with complaints. She called in 6 people which included the security and the sister. She we stated our case and she talked and then she spoke to them in their language and we could not understand what was said. In the end she said they will instill again dignity and the way patients and visitors are treated must be with respect. So we were allowed to see our daughter at the entrance of theatre. Baby was born after 12 today. After birth women are bleading. This evening again there was an incident and she was told to clean up after herself and she must not expect special treatment.

It is her first baby. She is bipolar meaning she has depression and has anxiety issues. She has been treated by the physiatrist at Kalafong for the conditions.

Never never go to Kalafong .
