On 28 August 2025 at approximately 7:30, I was physically assaulted by two security guards at Kagiso Mall while attempting to use an ATM. The mall was full of people leaving at the time. One guard, who identified himself as Lawrence, initiated the incident and called his colleague. Together they forcibly manhandled me, gripping me under my arms and dragging me, claiming to remove me from the mall. I was treated like a ******** despite doing nothing wrong. Their actions were aggressive, humiliating, and stripped me of dignity and personal safety in a public space. The trauma of their hands on my body has left me in tears, in shock, and in deep emotional and physical pain. I still feel their violation. I am demanding full accountability: an immediate investigation, removal of these guards, and assurance that such violence towards women and lack of basic communication will never be tolerated at Kagiso Mall.
