Kaelo is not recommended

I bought the Dischem Health Medical insurance. When I spoke to the broker I agreed for the payment date to be the 1st of every month for R591. I then received the virtual card and details with the inception date as 1December 2022 meaning that is when my first payment will be deducted. On 14 Nov I got an sms saying that Kaelo will be deducting R791 on 15 Nov. I immediately emailed them requesting to cancel that as I did not agree to pay R791 and definitely not on the 15th. I also did not get a debi-check or debit order mandate on my banking app. R791 was then deducted from my account with a R200 penalty as I do not have funds in my account. They said they cancelled it and asked if I want a refund. I requested the refund which according to them will be done on 23-11-2022. This is just unacceptable. They deducted money *******ly from my account as I did not agree and requested for them to cancel and rectify their error. This is a bad start. I hope I will get better service going forward.

An Exec Team hasn't contacted me yet. I'm still waiting for my refund, but what about the R200 that I'm being billed because of your bad service? I cannot and refuse to carry the cost. If I had gotten a debi check or debit order mandate that I get from any other company this would not have happened.

I received an sms on 29 November to say that R741 will be deducted from my account on 1 December. I emailed billing@kaelo and requested for them to correct this error AGAIN. Today is my inception date when I agreed to pay R591. Guys come on get your ducks in a row. Half of South Africa is unemployed, hire people that actually know what they are doing and that want to work. This whole process is beyond frustrating. It should be a very simple process. Choose a product that is suitable for your needs, pay for it and enjoy the benefits and peace of mind. This has not been my experience.
