We moved to our new home in 2020. Within 2 years, the grout used on the tiles started coming off everywhere and the tiles are making noises. I do not know whether the problem was the cheap material used, cheap labour or BOTH.
I called Kaan Development's offices, sent texts and pictures, for them to assist. I was referred to a lady who is a data capturer at Kaan. She told me that the house was handed over in September 2020, thus our retention period had already passed. She mentioned that the retention period lasted 3 months, and that they would therefore not be able to assist us with the fixing of the problem which we are currently facing. I really don't think tiles properly fitted, with quality material would be the way ours are..within 2 years, considering that we don't regularly clean them with wet cloth as there is hardly anyone in the house.
It seems like we have to dig our pockets and redo what was covered by the total cost of the house. Not forgetting cracks all over the house..we were told the house was "settling"...( I do not think it will ever be settled). New cracks appear everytime we do our own "inspection". If you do not mind buying a new house, then redo the work at your own cost...Kaan Development is the one for you.
