JVDS Auto Dealership in Sinoville

JVDS Auto in Marija street, Sinoville is the reason people don't trust second hand car dealers. The typical believe that second hand car dealers are shaddy and ************* applies here. We bought a Citroen C2 from JVDS auto on 11 August 2018. Since we've shown interest in this Citroen C2, the sales person, Armandt informed us the key for the car was lost. We kept contact with Armandt for about 2 weeks and then the key was ready. When we did the transaction, Armandt and Jean ***ner) did not explain the terms of the contract or disclose any faults on the car. In fact the owner Jean was always MIA. On arrival home we found that the car can't lock. We inspected the key and found that the key was empty inside, in other words there was no contact points in the key to operate the "remote"key. They sold us a car which can't lock. We can't get insurance because of this and the car is parked in our garage because we can't drive any where and risk the car being ****** because it can't lock. We then took the car for an inspection and discovered 14 more faults on the car ; to name a few : no jack ; the spare wheel is totally flat and sleek ; the starter gives problems ; there is a water leak ...etc. We contacted the dealership and they made numerous promises via whats up messages and voice calls to fix the problem with the key but up to now we still don't have a key that locks the car. I spoke to Velde van der Merwe, partner of Jean at JVDS auto (whom was never involved with the deal and suddenly appeared after I sent an email to the owner Jean) and he was adiment he did not know the key doesn't lock. I sent them an email to ask for a new key and repairs of all mentioned faults, JVDS auto just claim they did not know of all the faults and therefor is not responsible for repairs. How does a dealer not inspect a car before selling it to a consumer. We have made numerous attempts to have this dispute settled and get now feed back from the owner of JVDS Auto, Jean. We have made contact with Beeld, Bad Service and Hello Peter. We will also refer this matter to MIOSA
