JV Engineering Won't Provide DCP Test Report and Results Despite Issuing a Certificate

JV Engineers based in Durbanville, Cape Town issued a civil engineering certificate for a property I bought in 2019, and in July 2024 when I requested for the DCP test results on which basis they issued the certificate of engineering to the builder, they flatly refused. This was following a series of structural issues and damages to the property from 2020 to 2024 when floor tiles popped 4 times, walls cracked and the insurance rejected my claims citing poor workmanship. I had to engage the NHBRC who are also struggling to get the paperwork and report from the same JV Engineering. I engaged my own engineers whose DCP test results point to suspected poor foundation workmanship.

Now tell me, who issues an engineering certificate and then refuse to furnish the report on which the certificate is based? The South African construction industry is a crime scene and many of the various role players are ****s and daylight ******s. Please scrutinise and be careful with real estate investments, some of the estate agents have no basic understanding of how the NHBRC works even as I found out. It's shocking
